AAMA has worked since 1986 in partnership with Asian Tribal Ministries, Thailand. ATM conducts discipleship training and provides humanitarian aid to internally displaced people (IDPs) in the Thai/Burma border area. Dr Timothy & Rebecca Laklem, the founders, today work primarily with the Karen people, while Dakhota and Karenna, their son-in-law and daughter, run the ATM training school, base, and humanitarian relief programs. AAMA has partnered in providing educational resources, medicines, relief for the humanitarian IDP work, discipleship training, teaching resources, and construction teams on the ATM base.
